Albert and Rita Chretien were en route from Penticton, B.C. to a trade show in Las Vegas, NV. Their last known contact was at a gas station in Baker City, OR. They never arrived home on March 30, 2011. RCMP and several law enforcement agencies conducted massive searches for the couple, to no avail. Rita Chretien was found alive May 6, 2011 by two ATV riders on a rural logging road in NE Nevada. Rita stated that their 2000 tan Cheverolet Astro mini van became stuck in the mud on the logging road, they could not dislodge it, and after 2 days Albert Chretien left Rita with the van to look for help. He never returned.
