This blog has been created to increase awareness of Missing persons in Oregon. After doing some research we have found that most Oregon Missing Persons don't even make the nightly news. The key to finding these folks is awareness. One of these people could be standing next to you at the grocery store, or you could have information about a person that you didn't even realize was relevant. You might not even know this person has been missing. This page is still under construction.

SALEM -- Searchers were looking for a man who was separated from his party while hiking in a remote area of the Willamette National Forest on Thursday, deputies said.
Ronald Ohm, 52, was hiking with two people from the Portland area on a ridge above Russell Lake just north of Mt. Jefferson Thursday afternoon. Ohm lingered behind to take some photographs while the other hikers went ahead to establish a camp at the lake. Ohm never showed up at the camp, said Don Thomson with the Marion County Sheriff's Department.
Ohm's hiking partners failed to find him Friday, so they hiked out in the evening to call for help from authorities, Thomson said.
Forty searchers, including horse-riding posse members and others using SUVs and ATVs, were involved in the search. Searchers cannot try to locate Ohm by phone because cell coverage in the area is non-existent, Thomson said.
Ohm is an experienced hiker familiar with the area who was equipped with supplies that would last him through Sunday, Thomson said.
