sean_kosky002.jpgNEAR McMINNVILLE, Ore. -- The search continues for a 24-year-old McMinnville man believed to be missing in a heavily wooded area of Yamhill County.

Peter Sean Kosky, who goes by Sean, was last seen by family members Sunday night around 10 p.m. Kosky's mother, Denise McGunnigle, said he suffers from epileptic seizures, moves very slowly, and get easily confused.

Kosky was last seen outside at his cousin's home on Northwest Orchard View Road in McMinnville wearing long pajama pants and flip flops, McGunnigle disclosed. Lori Farnham, Kosky's aunt, said his family is worried because he has not taken medication since 8 p.m. Sunday night.

"He's probably having seizure after seizure," Farnham said.

Sgt. Brian Young, Yamhill County Sheriff's Office spokesman, said the search for Kosky began Monday afternoon. By Tuesday, there were approximately two dozen people searching for him in Miller Woods, located at 15580 NW Orchard View Road. Miller Woods is an approximately 130-acre, heavily wooded property owned by the Yamhill Soil and Water Conservation District. It is full of steep hills, trees and creeks, Young said.

In addition to sheriff’s office search and rescue crews, Mountain Wave Search & Rescue, an all-volunteer team, is assisting with the search by providing communication equipment that will allow crews to continue searching throughout the night. Young said that on Monday, search teams were forced to stop around midnight because they lacked this equipment.

Anyone with information about Kosky's whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office at  503-434-7306 .
